Yellow Jacket is the most decorated young roastery in South Africa, named CMA Roastery of the Year in 2024. It's led by Shewaan Khan, a Q Grader and the only Q Processing Professional in the country, who roasts from a Kenilworth space shared with the Ikigai café on Goldbourne Road. The focus is competition-grade single origins from named producers: think Diego Bermudez's experimental Colombians, or a washed Ethiopian Guji all bergamot and jasmine. Their Komodo and Circus Bear blends keep things smooth and medium for the everyday cup.
