Truth Coffee Roasting started with David Donde, a self-described pioneer of Cape Town's specialty scene, and one stubborn idea: coffee roasted properly. The flagship on Buitenkant St is a steampunk wonder — a converted Victorian warehouse built around a 1940s Probat roaster the team nicknamed Colossus. The motto is plain: bold, full-flavoured blends without a hint of bitterness. The signature Resurrection blend pulls Brazil, Ethiopia Yirgacheffe, Guatemala and India into a caramel, nutty, chocolatey espresso built to cut through milk. Single-origin micro-lots round out the shelf.
