The story.

Terbodore began in 2004, when Marian Macaskill and her family swapped the Western Cape for the KZN Midlands, took over a small restaurant, and the coffee stole the show — a 5kg roaster sealed it. The name stitches together three family members: Ter (her dad Tercy), Bo (grandfather Boy) and Dor (aunt Dorita). In 2011 her son Michael brought the craft to Franschhoek, now home to the roastery on Fabriek Street. Expect bold single origins like Lazy Bones — full-bodied Uganda with milk chocolate and toffee — and blends led by The Great Dane, named for Sultan, the gentle giant on the logo.
