The story.

Three friends spent the better part of a decade planning their move into specialty coffee before founding Legado in Stellenbosch in 2010. The turning point: tracking down one of South Africa's original Diedrich roasters — and convincing its long-time owner to train them on it. The name means 'legacy', and it shows in a light, nuanced roast style that lets each origin speak. From the Woodmill roastery they roast washed and natural lots from Ethiopia, Guatemala, Burundi and Rwanda, alongside the easy-drinking Journeyman and a cocoa-and-citrus Espresso Blend.
