Now Coffee is Durban’s self-described “mad scientists with a portafilter” — a specialty roastery and café group (uMhlanga, Glenashley and Morningside) that roasts on Thursdays and chases the experimental end of coffee. The menu swings from approachable house blends like Inception and the fittingly-named Just Now to competition-grade microlots: a washed Gichathaini from Nyeri, Kenya (blackberry, red apple), a natural La Isla SL28 from Costa Rica (green grape, raspberry, nougat) and honey-processed Ethiopians.
